URL Expiry
URL expiry lets you set a date after which your short link stops redirecting. This feature is available on Pro and Max plans.
Setting an Expiry Date
- Create or edit a short link.
- Click the URL Expiry option in the link settings.
- Select the expiry date and time.
- Save the link.
What Happens When a Link Expires
- The short link stops redirecting to the destination URL.
- Visitors who click the expired link see an expiry page informing them the link is no longer active.
- The link remains in your dashboard and can be reactivated by updating the expiry date.
Use Cases
- Limited-time offers — Create links for flash sales that automatically expire.
- Event registrations — Share signup links that close after the event date.
- Temporary file sharing — Share documents with a time limit.
- Contest entries — Ensure entries are only accepted until the deadline.
Managing Expired Links
Expired links are still visible in your Links dashboard. You can:
- Extend the expiry — Edit the link and set a new future date.
- Remove the expiry — Edit the link and clear the expiry date to make it permanent again.
- Delete the link — Remove it entirely from your account.
